What's a better 55" 3D HDTV buy?

Probably doesnt help you much, but I bought the LG LM7600 three months ago and we love it. Its an LED/LCD with passive 3D glasses instead of the expensive active glasses. I've only spent roughly 2hrs watching the TV in 3D and the rest of the time is just a high quality HDTV. None of my coworkers use their 3D either.

I found it for $1450 at Fry's when I bought it. Good luck anyway!

Panasonic has always been great imo.

I have a 55inch 3D LG TV and only spent 1 hour total in 3D. I've had it for a year now so I don't feel 3D is worth the money.

I have a 55" LG 3D LED TV 55LM8600. Its the second highest model they have and my family as well as my relatives and friends are VERY pleased with the results. I paid $1260 + tax for it and it was the BEST deal ever for that specific TV. Three months of intense research on TVs and prices culminated in this purchase.

My younger brother and little cousins use the 3D quite often (at least once a week) when we put on a 3D bluray. Passive 3D is just like the movies.

Active 3D from Samsung, Sony, etc. = garbage.

Any news on a good BF deal for a Samsung/LG/Panasonic 55" anywhere?

Edit: nevermind, misleading promotional offer. You need to buy a Samsung TV. No idea why they listed it under the LG page.

Google flat panel reviews. The 55 Panasonic is a good mid level TV. But not better than my 46hx800 in black levels. The 55 Panasonic led has low level blacks quality. Else wise decent deal.

I have an older model Samsung 3D and I love it. It has the active glasses. We do not watch the 3D too often but we don't have too much time to watch movies in general. The picture is awesome.

It would be better if you pull all the details about these 3 models and compare them side to side and see which features would prevail for you. On here everybody would recommend the TV that they bought (including me). I personally did what I just described and I decided that I would go with Samsung. One big reason for me - their app center.

Just bought the UN55ES7100 yesterday at Best Buy. Everyone has it this week at this price. Picture is awesome!!! Haven't tried the 3D yet, but my friend has last years version of this TV, and Avatar in 3D is amazing!! I highly suggest this model over the others. My other choice would be the Sony KDL55HX850, but this is a bit more expensive at $2000.

Google reviews for those models, cnet is okay, flatpanelshd.com is good, or read through avsforum.

Samsungs are known to have terrible flashlighting, the Panny is hit or miss but wont have as good of blacks.

The LG 7600 is good for daytime viewing, the poor blacks and edge bleed make it pretty awful for night watching (the reason I returned mine).

The Samsung EEH6000 series has great blacks and no edge-bleed at all, but the PQ and motion won't be as good as the LG or Samsung ES series.

Of course panel lottery plays a HUGE effect here.

The Sony HX850 would be the best out of all of them if you can afford it.

Of course, plasma will give you the best PQ, blacks, and motion, and for less money than the Samsung ES series, but they have their own problems- IR, buzzing, line bleed.
