Just grabbed an 8GB for my 7 year old for Christmas. Been watching this thread and had to pul the trigger when it went front page.

Welp, wasn't planning on it, but I guess it's time to replace my 2nd gen iPod. Been wanting a white one for a while

Thank you OP! Perfect timing for XMas gifts! We couldn't jump on the iPad Mini, knowing that the retina model is around the corner, and the 5th gen iPod touches are a little too pricey.

Think I'll get one for my 13 yr old. Husband is afraid to get my 11 yr old one. We don't want the kids being able to get online without us being able to see what they are doing. Is there a setting or password that can be set to prevent this?

I use my ipod touch like a phone with the talkatone app. I'm always in a wifi area and so I can use it all the time. Great reception most of the time. My cellphone bill is only about 10 dollars per month. I also use it a lot to check slickdeals

This seems like such a good deal, but I'm wondering if I should get the refurb 32gb or get the new 16gb on eBay for basically the same price and then get a Accidental Damage plan from Squaretrade.
Am I right that you can't get a Squaretrade plan for refurbs? Is it worth getting...I almost think I'd be happy to give up the 16gb storage for peace of mind if I drop the thing. |

Thanks OP, in for a 32GB. Used ShopDiscover for 5% cashback, hopefully it will stack with the extra 5% for Oct-Dec online shopping.
