Also includes a 1 year Apple warranty. This generation DOES have a retina display.

Received on 14-Nov-12, with IOS 5.1.

***Update***
They are selling this on Ebay: http://stores.ebay.com/Refurbishe...34.c0.m322
I was not charged tax with this deal. I was charged tax when I ordered from the Apple store (yes I bought 2 of them). I live in Seattle, WA.
According to the info on Ebay these come with a brand new battery and the previous OS (that would be iOS 5 or maybe 5.1 according to the guy who posted above). They basically look and work brand new with quality inspection done by Apple.

Can one add extra software, "apps", to play FLAC? It would be nice if these had a SDHC slot. Who has is the best sound quality available in present players? I am thinking of upgrading from my Sansa's... The ipods are pretty... Smilie

Sound quality for headphones, or the tiny speaker? My son's Touch 4th gen with Sennheiser HD428's sound amazing. With ear buds, so-so.

It's inferior to the iPhone 4 retina display, but yes, it is retina all the same.

Also, don't forget the extra 5% + 5% cashback bonus via ShopDiscover and online purchases (if you signed up) respectively.

Quality phones or IEM's and amped where needed. Will these surpass the Sansa line?

I haven't seen a Sansa in years. Do they still make media players, and have any support? People buy the Touch for the apps and internet access. If you want a music player, there are cheaper alternatives.

You should be able to find an app that plays FLAC files. Any good modern media player like the Sansas or ipods or galaxy players has excellent sound quality. Just use whatever one has the features you want.
