As a REAL DJ, not a cheesy @ss jukebox wedding DJ, I'll say this game is sooo much fun. The mashups are well played and with 2 turntables to battle a friend is priceless. DJ Hero 2 is much better than the first. The DLC packs are also awesome. It's a shame some of you missed on the DJ Hero Renegade Edition a month or so ago. It was only $20.

Excellent buy for the price. As most people have already said, DJ Hero 2 is the superior version. Everything about 2 is so refined compared to 1. The track mixes are more creative, sound better, and are more fun to play.
I noticed a good amount of attention to detail in the 2nd version as well. In DJ Hero 1, you on screen DJ will wave his hands around, dance, etc while the music (and scratches) are still happening in the song. It detracted from the feeling that you and your turntable were controlling the music AND on-screen DJ. In DJ Hero 2, your actions on the turntable are synced with your on-screen avatar; you scratch, so does he. Even some of the songs are synced with specific actions. If you appreciate what real, actual DJs do then you'll definitely enjoy masquerading as one. BUYYYYY |

yes, DJ Hero 2 is better. but that doesn't mean you shouldn't own DJ Hero 1 as well. it's still a great game. and at the bargain that game is, you really should own both.
and I prefer the mixes of DJ Hero1 as well. DJ Hero is already a niche market so it'll become harder and harder to find it. so get it while it's still out there. it's not like Call of Duty where discs are a dime a dozen. |

I'll echo most everyone else as well and say that these games felt very fresh and I had a blast with them. I was very disappointed that they got overlooked by most because of the waning popularity of the rhythm genre and 'lol @ moar plastic instruments."
The mashups and remixes were really good. A lot were super-catchy. I listen to a couple of the songs frequently (especially The Killer's "Somebody Told Me" vs Eric Prydz "Pjanoo" and David Guetta "Love is Gone" vs Sam Sparro "Black and Gold," both of those were fantastic and I am not even that big a pop or club music fan). Unfortunately music game fatigue kept too many people from taking a chance on them but now that they are cheap, there aren't much excuses. I was really hoping there would be a cheap RB or GH guitar on there. I just bought a Pro guitar but want a cheap standard guitar at my current location for playing standard songs. |

There is a reason these are only $15 and not $150. I bought DJ Hero 2 Bundle last year for $25. It's meh, ok for one time of playing, but it's nowhere near as fun as Rock Band or Guitar Hero. The music is cool, but the game play is just boring after a short while.
