what came first the tablet optimized apps or the tablet? I dont understand why some are complaining about the ecosystem and how it is not developed. If there isnt a worthy tablet and tablet maker out there supporting and encouraging tablet optimized apps how do you expect the ecosystem to develop? If you are not buying one, thats great, but dont blame the ecosystem for the reason the tablet is bad.

Just picked up Nexus 7 at walmart yesterday. Glad I sold my ipad 3.
This nexus rocks! The software is much more mature than the Samsung tablet I looked at in February. I like the ability to customize the software, much better than the tight control of Apple. Cost was about 50% of the similar Ipad mini. The 10 apps I used on my ipad were all available for the nexus. I predict that by this time next year Apple tablet marketshare will fall from the current 50% to 30% (or lower). |

Product of the season IMO is the iPad 3, as far as large tablets go. Google's pricing on the Nexus 10 really set itself a bit high at $400, especially when the iPad 3 has been selling for $379 - not to mention being able to get it at Meijer this weekend with a new store for $309 plus tax. This review says it all comparing the two tablets. I think as more and more people buy the tablet, they'll agree - the apps are just not optimized for 10" tablets yet. When they finally optimize them, the current tablets will be on a flash sale on Cowboom, and the latest and greatest will be taking their place. Google is playing catch up in a market that doesn't allow for lagging behind - at least as far as 10" tablets go. For Android smart phones and 7" tablets, that's the sweet spot. Nexus 7 16gb is a home run this season. http://seattletimes.com/html/busi...ewxml.html |

I too was a little shocked with the Nexus 10 pricing. I thought they would have sold them more in the $299 range. |
