I'm interested in getting the Note 2 .. from what I've researched online, the best provider in Portland, Oregon area is Verizon (for speed, data, coverage map in areas I am at, etc.) ....
I've heard Verizon has a late release of the phone, so I don't suppose there will be any deals, huh? |

think i'm going to wait until friday to see if there are any surprise sales, but when i got as far as checkout on wirefly, just to see the total etc, i got this message: "The offer you selected is no longer available. Below is our most popular package for your area. You may also update your selection using the links below." |

I was told by someone tat BB that if you buy the Note 1 and get the insurance plan and it breaks they will give you the Note 2 since the Note 1 is no longer in production. I really doubt this because im pretty sure they give you refurbs in that case. Also whats all this about $50 and $150 rebates for the Note 2, none of this is advertised.

Coming over from ios (iphone 3gs, 4, 5) -- a few things that I've noticed and pretty hard to get used to is that it does not do notifications the same way as IOS. the notifications on android, imo, are way behind ios.
you need to install go sms to get group sms working ok and even that isn't perfect -- which is a PIA since1/2 of the people I talk to in groups are using ios. sometimes the sms sends out the message 2-3x as well. samsung put on a keyboard that is smaller and can be aligned to the left/right side of the each but the keyboard DOES NOT do auto-replace of corrected words. you need to choose it. otherwise, if you install another keyboard it can do it but those don't allow for one-handed typing (YET). but, one thing is that the screen on this is BEAUTIFUL. it looks and feels 30-40% bigger than the iphone 5 screen ... i don't need to squint and view videos. also, LTE on it seems to function better than the chipset in the iphone 5 (i had both phones in the store and my iphone5 would not get a signal while in the ATT store prior to my note 2 being activated). |

I bought the Note 2 right when it was released. I couldn't wait after seeing the unveiling of the note 2.
I returned the phone after 1 week, the phone locked up several times to where I had to pull the battery to "reset" which att people said was "normal"!! I re-purchased a Iphone5 and couldn't be happier!! Apple still is the king, the Apps are way more polished and ios is very easy to use... Just my 2 cents for those looking at the Note 2. |

for me it was free. I had bought it at $299 then got $100 off from a match. Then t-mobile had the $49 sale which I was able to get att to give me $200 in bill credits. On the same call she mentioned family messaging promo which went from $30 to $20 for life. So all in all the phone actually made me money
![]() Plus I sold my note one for $420 so it was a good deal all around Add clean note rom to this phone and it FLIES !!!!!!!! |

Well I got back from the T-Mobile store, the place was like a ghost town. We were the only ones in there, black friday at 10:00 AM.
I walked over to the counter and saw the price $199.99 for the Note II. Not a bad price, so I said I'd take it. Upon the rep showing me the fine print however, it was only for new customers and the price that I would ACTUALLY pay was somewhere along the lines of $370. I politely declined and walked out. There's no way I'd be able to talk them down below $200. I think I might follow the above recommendations and talk to T-Mobile's loyalty team. I've been their customer for around 4 years, so hopefully they can hook me up with something better. |
