If you have a regular USB extender cable, this can give you the option of using it with any device that accepts the micro cable (e.g. many phones).

Code does not work for me, tells me it doesn't apply to my order....this happening to anyone else?

It just worked for me on all of the adapters that said prime, the one that didn't have a prime option failed (usb 3 female to usb 2a mini male).

The Astro3e won't charge a nexus 7.

I actually was looking for an external battery that could power the Nexus 7 and came across this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s...593&page=5 which specifically mentions the Astro3. "The Anker Astro 3 works well using the (S)amsung port on a standard usb cable, it does not work using the i port. Mine charged the N7 from 60% to 100% with about 25% of the Ankers capacity last night."

I'm not sure if there is a difference between model Astro 3 and Astro 3e (I couldn't find anything listed on the Anker website differentiating if these are different batteries or not. Anyhow, hopefully it will work out. If not many people report it being able to power galaxy, ipad etc. Just make sure to use the correct port and OEM cable that came with your idevice if having issues!

Edit: Still couldn't find any note of difference between Astro 3 vs 3e, but I did find this review on amazon from yesterday http://www.amazon.com/review/R3EL..._rtr_alt_2 saying the 3e works on their Nexus 7.

I have the Astro 3 and it charges my Nexus 7 without a problem. Not sure what the difference is between the 3 and 3e.
