Kenmore doesn't make their own products. Seeing that the photos are the same, I think I made a reasonable assumption in my original post. |

I'm in the market to get 2 new refrigerators (1 White for a Rental, 1 French-Door style for my house)
What do you usually look for when choosing what refrigerators are "good"? I'm a total newbie regarding this subject.... I'm looking to buy it from Sears, Lowes or Home Depot. (special 0% financing would be great too). |

I remember seeing a website somewhere that would allow you to see who made a Kenmore product based on the model number or the serial number. This is not a Frigidaire
The model number of Kenmore products reveal who makes it. In this case the model number is 2537031321, the first three numbers "253" means it is made by "Gibson" which Frigidare is Gibson's corporate parent. Thanks...almost pulled the trigger on this one.....Not sure what previous person meant by not being the same. Its almost a perfect match. There will always be slight cosmetic differences because Sears will request certain features from manufacturer. Even the bottom grill is a match..Just tells me the main inner workings that are causing the problems are the same..Thanks again..just saved me $1000+ and a lot of headache for a bad product..not a good deal
