Kel-tec used to make a .40 caliber version a long time ago. Guess it was too strong for such a small and light gun. And trigger feel is overrated on non-range guns. It's unlikely a person is going to be slowly squeezing off the trigger or staging the trigger for accuracy when it's used in a defense role. That aside, it still has a heavier trigger, but that also can be a preference. I think of the P11 as a good do-everything gun. You can conceal it rather well, yet it can use 15-round mags for home. (yes, they stick out of the bottom. You can get grip extensions if you care.) And it's $223 with a lifetime warranty. It's the least expensive double-stack 9mm you can buy, and it's a pretty solid little gun. Joe Biden says Buy a Shotgun! Wackiness ensues! [youtu.be]

http://pistol-training.com/drills...ummy-drill Also, if you're shooting a double action trigger, try staging the trigger first. Basically, pull it till it's right at it's break point, and then when ready to fire squeeze the trigger the rest of the way. It's best to practice this by dry firing. Although, it's not a double stack 9mm. This is my favorite budget compact 9mm pistol. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalo...rip+and+Fr For a full sized double stack, this is a great value. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalo...lackSS+16R Last edited by ilivas; 11-08-2012 at 08:41 PM.. |

But I'm a Hi-Point fan(sometimes after a few RMAs), so what do I know? Guess the Browns got me used to disappointment. Last edited by Strmtrper6; 11-08-2012 at 08:39 PM.. |

My opinion on the pf9 vs. the p11 is just purely feel in my hands and can vary for anyone, plus it might be because I shot the pf9 more. Trigger feel is more of a SAO vs. DAO type of deal for me and I hope I would be fine in a SD situation regardless as long as I trained with that tool. Home defense handgun for now will always be my G19. Personal preference. Looking into that S&W magazine. Good to get a reminder that there is always more to learn. Does anyone know if the compatibility was intentional? By the way, for people who are truly dedicated to one device, trigger feel can make a difference in SD situations. Though it is more about knowing your device than one vs. another, unless it is some crazy heavy pull like some of the New York triggers. Last edited by Strmtrper6; 11-08-2012 at 08:38 PM.. |

Your right I don't see it either, but don't let that stop you from buying there. Just look @ reviews from other buyers on SDs. They have shipped all my orders same day unless you order on a Monday. Just make sure you put your FFL as the shipping address and give them a ring to verify that the FFL is legit. I didn't have to fax them any info at all. Business hours are Tues-Friday.
If your still worried I'm picking up a revolver they shipped to my FFL tomorrow and I can get their physical address for you if you like.
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. -Thomas Jefferson Truth is treason in the empire of lies -Ron Paul |

I know some online gun stores simply won't allow you to just come in and inspect the merchandise before hand on their used guns for online sale specials. It may not be that kind of store. Some gun websites only deal with online orders.. I'm not sure if SOSS is like this, I can't find any information online about customers going into an actual store. I know they are located in Columbus, Ohio as shown on their Facebook. I'll Pm you the address L8r.

Good price on a p11
CDNN has chromed slide models for 229, but no free shipping. most states actually have no such law. A lot of gun mfg's include some sort of lock though. If they don't often a dealer will even when not required to, even for free often. If you do not have a gun lock contact your local PD to see if they have free locks. there are organizations with gun lock programs like the NSSF. http://www.projectchildsafe.org The P11 is targeted at the conceal carry market. Most wont buy it for a range gun. most do not unload their carry guns at night. If you're buying it for home defense a lock won't be of any use. If it's not to be carried I'd suggest something larger since concealment/weight is not an issue. For those with kids old enough to know what a gun is educate them rather then depend on a lock (some of which are easy to break) For the little ones that don't know what a gun is I might suggest a gun with a magazine disconnect.. the Ruger LC9 I believe has one and is similar to the p11 When you take the magazine out the gun will not fire (even with one in the chamber) So you can use the magazine Like a "key".. keep the mag with you and the gun on your night stand/drawer. Im not a fan of mag disconnects but it could very well be useful in situations where the gun needs to be accessible but not operable if anyone else gets it. Or you could look into a quick access safe, the good ones aren't cheap and still not as fast as "ready at hand" but it's a much better then a trigger/cable lock and offers a good blend of sped and security. If it ain't on slick deals.. i ain't buying it.
