The TV is right next to the laptop - 3' or so but the laptop shows full signal strength. That said, it was working well enough but is a big drop from the indicated laptop signal level

I tested the MK808 on another tv with 1080 and it looks WAY better my video made things look pretty grim with the 640 x 480 upload.

I'm currently uploading a higher res version of the video - should have it posted in the morning hopefully.

You need to flash the custom ROM to get Bluetooth. The stock ROM doesn't have it.

Horn34, I'm reading all of the positive comments in the last day or two from people receiving their PC Stick and being happy and I came across your post.

I had a similar problem with my previous Panasonic TV and it turned out to be the HDMI cable and not the TV.
It would seem odd that the device works on Westinghouse, Sony, Panasonic, Denon, Pioneer, etc........and not Samsung models.

Check the HDMI cable - if that doesn't work, maybe look into the custom ROM, it's possible that the developer changed something that could be of use to you - but I have to say, it makes almost zero sense that it would work on everything but a Samsung.

Unless there has been some sort of recent update that I'm not aware of, Bluetooth is not an option for the mk808.

Yep, it's the HDMI connection. The reason it worked on the westy is because it was twisted sidewise in such a way that it made a connection. To get it to work on the other tv's I have to tap and shake the unit until I get a picture. I don't know if it's the cable or the internal HDMI board, since I don't have extra cable to test.

I flashed to Finless 1.5A and there's a Bluetooth section in the settings, no idea if it works or not.

Get a new cable.
$2 on Amazon, that is 99.9999992% the issue.

The Bluetooth setting is there, because it is built-in to Android, the functionality is not.
They are working on it, but I think it's a needle in a haystack.

Boo, based on what Im reading, this thing seems like so much fun to own and play around with. Lol.

Also, after playing with this device for a day, I am overall happy with the purchase. I am not too excited with the RC11 Gyroscopic remote, as sometimes it misses button presses, so you have to carefully watch as you are typing on the keyboard. I will probably keep an eye out for a logitech mouse/keyboard unit deal and pick one up when it's on sale. The RC11 will do for now.

You might need to separate the usb receiver from the unit, as I have read that the wireless may be causing interference with it. If you have a short USB extension cord lying around, try it.

Again, I wish I had this in my hands so I could figure these out for myself! Unfortunately mine is still in China. In transit, but in China.

Yes that's what I figured. I have used all of my short USB extensions. I may just order one online for a buck.

Got a shipping update today, its in Chicago. Ordered 2-3 days after this deal got posted.

Because when this deal was posted, the going rate for these was around $70. The price drops have occurred in the last two weeks.

As for the iMito MX2, it was just released, so this deal predates its debut. The market changes quickly. Take SSD's for example. What was a front page deal a couple months ago might not merit a posting today.
