also he says that the larger externals with usb power arent 100%.... which is understandable... Ill assume multi platter is asking for too much power it looks to be a pretty versatile unit... about the same power as a Samsung Galaxy S2 here is his how to video on updating to the custom ROM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6...el&list=UL |

My 2 cents ....
the previous deal EVO posted for a ~90$ tablet ,,,,had the same enthusiastic chatter ,, and I jumped the gun on it... It was from the same dealer "in4dealz" .... The tablet is lying unused , bcoz of its low resolution and horrible screen,.,,,got blurry eyes lookin at the screen just for 5 min.. No fault of EVO .......gues I had higher expectations from that tablet....... Cudnt return it as ,,the retailer is from China ....... didnt want to bother with the shipping and stuff,, Just wanted to share this - for any novice like me out there,,, Have a Nice day!

The first link has me almost sold...
How good is the after support on these products? Warranty, etc? And does anyone know the clockspeed of the chip? I'm also a little leery about whether the company has installed any "backdoor" apps that track your use/info....

How good is this thing? W/O quad core can it handle high bit-rate 1080p videos. Second, since it is running Android does that mean no DTS mkvs w/o the hacks out there that sometimes work and sometimes don't. These 2 things are a deal killer since all it has to me is a browser versus my Sony media player streamer that cost me only $10(slickdeal several months back) that does high bit-rate DTS mkvs, does netflix, vudu, and others.

I'd have to check. It runs Netflix without issue, but I dumped my Hulu+ account, so I'll have to check into it for you.
![]() Still, sorry to hear you didn't love the Android tab, it got great reviews. Most support comes from user forums like those linked and if there are issues with returns, PayPal has your back. 2. 1.6Ghz is the clock speed, per core, dual-core CPU. 3. Take off the tinfoil hat. Or, leave it on and then wipe the system completely clean and flash the awesome custom ROM that the Admin at Freaktab.com built for this device. It turns it from a great device into an unbelievable device. ![]() Also, Mitt didn't do so hot, last I checked.

sounds like you are blaming someone else for your expectations and lack of research... it is ALWAYS BUYER BEWARE.... chipads (esp in the past) are known for their cheaper screens with lower resolutions and their less than stellar battery life.... you should have checked the specs and also googled for some user reviews and user video reviews with the particular tablet in action... so you could then make a EDUCATED decision instead of blaming someone else for your lack of effort... and just bc someone likes something and says its great... its a subjective view point... your view point may be different...so dont expect someone's expectations to align with your own when they praise something or say it works great... |

Lol. Do you have one? How is the reliability?
Im just thinking about long-term cooling issues on this thing. For example, could I leave it running for 72 hours alone? I would rather not spend $52 for something that would burn out in a year if you get where I'm coming from. It definitely seems very useful. Almost completely destroys the purpose of any HTPC where productivity is not necessary. Also, which custom ROM are you referring to? I'm seeing a whole ROM section there.

in one of the videos about the guy shows a networked 1080p video playing and some other videos straight from the microSD and USB Flashdrive... he also talks about other formats being played... but like you said on the DTS sometimes they work and sometimes they dont... so I would ask for EVO to give it a try and see what his experience is.... |

if only i could attach USB tuner and DVR television shows...
(it can't, can it?) hmmm....http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=PVR |
