I use it to view Amazon prime video mostly; also works good for youtube. It does NOT play some video formats, and I don't know if there is ongoing support. But if mine broke, I would likely get another one or something similar -- this is just an android player with a nice keyboard.
I might also try to see if an xbox would work for me and provide additional functionality.
Please don't tell my revue that...it seems quite certain it can...then again I use GTVBox Video Player (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details"?id=net.gtvbox.videoplayer&feature=search_result)
Even then this is a bad price for a revue now that 2nd edition smart tv players are coming out and the android tv players like the UG802 are as cheap as $30 in some cases.
* I have both a revue (ok 2..the 2nd was a refurb for like $55)......and a UG802.....the UG802 will run xbmc and several other things and is fully rooted unlike the revue....custom roms now have Jelly Bean for the UG802 and have eliminated the audio/video sync issues some reported on earlier roms.) Even as a revue owner who happily continues to use his daily to make a dumb tv in bedroom "smart" enough to connect to the htpc in living room I would not recommend buying a revue NOW with the advances made and if you do, then certainly pay the $3 or so for GTVBox player which adds things like subtitle support and smb streaming.
http://www.appbrain.com/user/fame...(google-tv) <-- apps on my revue...mostly sideloaded from my phones but might be of interest...has a free app that forces the revue into landscape mode which allows ALOT of apps that won't normally install to do so.

Reason: Added link to list of revue apps.
I've got the revue but I use Plex for streaming all of my videos. I've got it hardwired and it can handle mkv's that I have which are up to 16GB's in size. Im sure over wifi it might be tough to handle the big files, but hardwired and with plex I can vouch for this working with mkv files, and big ones at that. The price is another issue. I paid well under $80 for a refurb about 5 months ago.
