Yeah, my goal is to leave sprint and get two S3's on the value plan for T-mobile.

after 22 month, you can upgrade your phone without charge. that I heard from T-mobile customer service. and they did upgrade on mine. hope this can help you

How long does it take for T-mobile to send out the rebate check, normally? Is this one of those things where I have to wait 30 days to send in the MIR card? Free phones are great, but I don't want to go $230 out of pocket, right before christmas and then not get the money back until July.

can I buy this phone and cancel the contract even without activating it?

We've been with T-mo for years, always got the rebate back in a timely manner (6 weeks?)/

The Note 2 is on the picture so I don't see why it wouldn't be included in this sale. I'm paying the ETF if it is.

I bought this phone for $99 from Best Buy a few weeks ago with plans to cancel and pay the $200 ETF on order to switch to the $30 pre-paid plan. While on the phone with retention, they offered a switch to the Value Plan, incurring a $200 migration fee. But the offer was for $34.99/month for 500 minutes, unlimited text, and 2GB data. This is tempting compared to 100 minutes, unlimited text, and 5GB data for the pre-paid plan for anyone in need of more minutes. Thought I'd throw that out there for anyone considering cheaper T-mobile options.

could you get this phone, pay ETF and go to straight talk?

It seems like Best Buy has removed All Samsung products (except S2) from their BF ads. Just a heads up.
