Also, another heads up!! For others got the TV from bestbuy.com for $550, the price today (bestbuy deal of the day [bestbuy.com]) is $500. so you can request price match for getting $50 back. I just got off the phone with Bestbuy.com, and they will refund $50 back to my credit card yeahhh!! But It's YYMV. They may deny as they don't match price for deal of day. mine was denied on my first call to bestbuy.

Also, was denied one of my claims because I accidentally applied a gift card to part of the total. They state that the entire purchase needs to be made with the Discover card (and that gift card prevents that). Discover sent me a credit for the claim amount even though it was denied! Yay Discover! I will use them for more purchases in the future. Good deal, good service.

Does anyone know how to bypass the TOSHIBA splash screen when turning on the tv? thats kind of annoying.

While I haven't gotten the check yet, Discover Claims Services or whatever it's called confirmed my claim was approved for both TVs. WHOOHOO.

(Not that anyone cares, but I realized after I posted this that I was thinking of JVC as far as mixed quality, not Toshiba. And this really has turned out to be an excellent TV, IMO at least in part to the direct backlighting)
