So i get there about 8:30am and there's about 3 people outside and a full size tent right next to them. Come to find out later there was another 4 people in the tent all getting the tv as well. Stuck it out anyway and they ended up having like 10 of the 50"leds. mine was the 6th, after that got the fark out quick. That really is bullshit some stores wouldn't honor the deal, damn.
So if you have Discover, you buy the Toshiba TV from any store then call them right away (or tomorrow) to have them adjust the price as per their Price Protection policy? What do you have to do? Send them the ad (link) from Sears via email before closing on Friday or can you send the ad even after Black Friday?
Sears is NOT honoring this ad at all stores, like at the store in Corvallis, Oregon. Even though the print ad states that all stores will have 4 of them, and my local store had all 4 sitting on the shelf in plain view, they refused to sell them. According to their computers, they were sold out. I'm guessing that they were sold earlier in the day at other locations. We tried contacting Sears corporate from the store, but no one was in. Several others in line tried to purchase other TV's that were on advertised by Sears, only to find that not a single TV was available for purchase. Great way to handle "doorbusters," Sears!
So, the Sears in Corvallis, OR. when they opened the doors, the first thing the sales floor rep says "We are not selling anything out of the store today. Anything you purchase will be ordered and shipped here for pickup within two business days." Promptly thereafter, he checks for this item on the computer to order and they don't have it so he tells everyone sorry, you're SOL. Frackin' racket!
They only had 4 50" for the ~500 people that were in line when they handed out vouchers at 7:52. I was around #50 so of course I came up empty. There were some people who tried to cut in front of others to get the 32" TV vouchers.
The one I went to had only 3 guys up until early afternoon!! I guess it was more of a hit or miss with the crowd but it grew to well over hundred around 6 something and they handed out coupons around 7.. 4th on line and I was a happy camper
Assuming ppl were waiting to receive the form in the mail. And then mailing the form out with the required documents it would take a while since Discover claims it will take 7-14 days once they receive the documents. However, I was told from a sup that you could request the form to be faxed to you and you could fax all the forms so that would help. But unless someone did the whole "email cooperate thing", I doubt many ppl have a resolution as of yet.
