When are rewards coming in?

Seems to be better than all the Black Friday deals as all of them in this price point are i3's and even if they are 3rd gen, this processor has a MUCH better benchmark and is rated higher.

These laptops really need to stop with the poor resolutions.

Not bad. However, If anyone does not mind Dell refurbished. I just got a 14z n411z with same spec except smaller HD (320GB) for $316 after CA tax $419- 30% coupon (CCJV9MFDF2T622)=$293 + tax.
I am not to sure the difference between 14z-2877 and 14z-n411 but they looked the same on Utube reviews.

"One minor disappointment with the display is the resolution. Even though the XPS 14z has the same native resolution as most Windows laptops in this class do--1366 by 768 pixels--I expected a little better of Dell. After all, Sony now ships a 13.3-inch unit with a 1600-by-900-pixel display, and MacBook Airs offer 1440 by 900 pixels. Dell could have distinguished the XPS 14z's display from the pack by upping the resolution a bit. Nevertheless, it’s an attractive, usable display--and for older users, having slightly larger fonts on the 14-inch display may matter more than having additional pixels."

This isn't an XPS14, this one is half the price of the XPS14, but I do think they have the same screens.

pcworld is a bad place to get reviews... you can increase the font sizes as an option in Win 7. So having high resolution, you'd get both sharp images and large, clear (and sharper than if it were on low resolution) text. On the other hand, "older users" like Loyd Case (the reviewer) may not even be able to figure that option out...

Got one of those too except with a 1tb drive for $350 (tax, coupon, blah blah). Just got it in yesterday and I am pretty darned happy with the purchase. Nothing bad to say about it other than the standard complaints about crap resolution, but for $350 you simply cannot expect more. Probably going to swap the drive out with a Samsung 830, and it should be a real screamer!

Exactly, can't complain for what we paid. Great laptop for everyday use and abuse. If I breaks in 3 years like my two previous Inspirons, I'll just buy a new one which is going to be nicer, better and around the same price
