So - if we take to my country where it is PAL - this player does NOT WORK at all???

The Blu-ray players keep getting cheaper in build quality. No more screens and touch-sensor front buttons, cheaper remotes, etc. Do the chips inside at least outperform the popular ones from 2-3yrs ago like the Samsung BD-C6500? Or has it just been about cost-cutting since?

Yeah this isn't a region free blu-ray player. Each player has a region code imprinted on the back and will only play the discs that have that match that region code. You won't know what region code until you get it sadly.

Yes. cheaper in build quality. See the power adapter and remote control.

First time I've seen an external power brick for a DVD/BluRay player. It'll at least be easier to replace if it ever dies...doesn't seem to happen often with name-brand players, but I've had 2 internal power boards die on off-brand players (RCA, Terapin).

I have this unit. It does not have Amazon Instant Video app. It has Netflix, Vudu, Accuweather, Youtube and Picasa apps and that is it. No access to LG appstore to install more apps. Called LG customer service to see if there is any way to access the LG appstore and they said no. They said LG BP620c has 3D and access to appstore.

I'm looking for a new 3D Blu-Ray player, but I haven't researched them enough. I read this whole thread and apparently there are only a few user reviews of not much help, so people are assuming this is at least as good the BP620. Someone said that you could download the Amazon app on the BP325W too, but the post above just said you couldn't, so I don't know who's right. Having Amazon and Netflix is very important to me.

If it had the Amazon app, I'd jump on this deal except I haven't had time to study the BF ads to see if there will be any better or cheaper 3D Blu-Ray players. With Newegg I generally consider once I order something, it's mine forever because they usually have very strict return policies (or restocking fees or "replacement only"). If I'm going to blind buy a Blu-Ray player, I'd prefer a nearby B&M so I can return it if I'm unsatisfied.

So, I'm going to pass on this deal unless someone knows for sure that it has the Amazon app, there will be no better 3D Blu-Ray players for sale over BF/the holidays and that this player easily matches Panasonic, Samsung and Sony Blu-Ray players in terms of speed and picture quality.

Unfortunately my Samsung BD-D5500 3D Blu-Ray player I got for $30 at Sears doesn't support Amazon, but at that price I was able to live with that. The region doesn't matter to me because I only buy movies within the US.

That sucks! Now I am on the fence. Really wanted a cheap small form factor BRP though, hmmm.

thanks and whats ur advice on this UNIT? I just need those apps and is that good unit with the price of 59$??

Weird, all the specs show it having access to the premium apps, and the BestBuy link even includes HuluPlus and Amazon in the apps section. Guess I'll just get it and see, and if it doesn't have what it says, then I'll return it
