Polk Audio Monitor70 Series II Floorstanding Loudspeaker (Black) $150 + Free Shipping Newegg

Does anyone else have any comments about the Infinity P363s versus these speakers? I have a Frys nearby so it would be savings of almost $80 over these Polks.

I have the PSW10 and 60s in my 5.1 setup now. Honestly the PSW10 is rather weak. I would think the 70s would make the situation worse. Just my .02.

I've read that the Infinity is listed as 8 ohm but shown only 4 ohm on a test. It is not good if you don't have an expensive 4 ohm receiver.

Go to Frys and listen to the p363 and then listen to the Polk TSi500 and see what you like. The TSi500 is the Monitor70 with a nicer cabinet.

I was in the same boat choosing between the p363 and the Monitor70, I chose the p363. I read lots of reviews and did my research.

I hate newegg, hope amazon will pm this!

That was my concern... my living room isn't big and the gf don't like me blasting up the volume... I guess I'll wait til the 60s goes below $120....

Seconded, if the P363s are cheaper for you, I would strongly suggest the 363s. the 70s are nice, but at least to my ear the P363s sound better (though to my ear the TSI400s are warmer than the 70s so I might be weird). If fry's would ship for free I'd likely grab a couple 363s for the front and move my TSI400s to the back

Currently running speakers from my S760 HTiB system and a sony DG910 receiver. Would these and/or the Infinity's be a noticeable upgrade or should I look a tier higher? Specs below:

Since you already have the 363s, can you share what receiver you use with them and do you have any problem with the "4 ohm speaker."

Mine has a similar setup, but I put a 18" stand (dual 12" subwoofer enclosure) for the central speaker. It's Polk CS2 speaker, the sound a so much better when it directs at the ear level with the stand.
