The infinity 363's are vastly better speakers and cheaper. If shipping was $60 for the pair, I'd be getting another pair just because. Anyone with a fry's local... I'm jealous.

I'm considering the Jamo S 426 HCS 3 WENGE 5-Piece Home Theater System setup for $170 shipped [amazon.com] instead... comparable? This would give me rears as well...

this is kind of off topic, but i'm looking to get a system going for my apartment. don't know the size of the living room, but the whole unit is about 750 sq ft.
would getting the monitor 50s and CS1 for front, plus something else to fill the rears, and a PSW10 be a decent set up? "Smoked" by windows phone 2012, might be my best SD yet if i could actually get the phone.

For your size apartment it will be more than enough. I started with a PSW10 sub, M40's as the fronts and CB-5's as rears in an apartment. Couldn't really get crazy because it was an apartment. If you are going to be in the market for a more permanent residence (single family home) in the near future, then maybe consider getting something a step up such as the CS2 center and a BIC F12 sub. I promise you will want to upgrade. ![]() |

But I think you're very wrong. Djs are going more and more digital. It's all apple logos and pushbutton sound effects. True turntablism is almost a lost art. While the new audiophile / hobbyist is scooping up vinyl old and new. Sales are surging because it offers a different and in some ways superior listening experience. Cassettes came and went. CDs are in decline. Obviously digital content is the future, but vinyl will survive and thrive. You don't have to throw much money around either. Besides reasonably priced new turntables, there are some screaming deals on vintage hifi stuff at goodwill, estate sales and flea markets that put a lot of newer stuff to shame. The sound is just unbeatable.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjP6U7sh2xw

Stewed over this all weekend, deciding if I should buy the 70's. I have a feeling newegg is about out of these and there won't be more coming, so I pulled the trigger on the 70's AND the 50's. My wife is going to kick my @ss for this. lol

Height 42" Width 7 3/4" Depth 14 3/4" 47 pounds 50's Height 35" Width 7" Depth 9 5/8" 26 pounds As good a deal as the 70's are @ 150 bones each, I think the 50's are at least or maybe better of a deal @ 75 bones each. I don't remember the 50's ever being that low and probably due to them clearing out remaining inventory. Those waiting for black friday deals might fine newegg no longer have these in stock.
