I spent a great deal dea of time researching this kb and reading reviews. This is a very solid, quality made keyboard, in most cases people prefer it better over the Razer. Pulled a tigger and got one together with recent deal on COOLER MASTER CM Storm Xornet gaming mouse!

Am too lazy to mail in rebates usually. Thinking I'm gonna wait until Cyber Monday.

How is this compared to the Razer that was on sale a few days ago? I am using the keyboard strictly for typing and less fatigue. Thanks!

DAS recently switched to some other manufacturer I think. Heard lots of complaints about their q/c since then.

Many people prefer it over Razer, this CM has a cherry brown switch which is supposed to be a hybrid for gaming and typing. Most newegg reviews also state that cm quality is better than Razer deal few days ago

Whats the difference between mechanical keyboard such as this and the regular gaming keyboard such as Logitech G15?

i would bite immedietely if this had the macro buttons on the side and red switches.

i cant play FPS games with blue/brown

If you type for a living - the difference is night&day.

I own an insurance agency and I type all day long. In my office we use only IBM Model "M' keyboards that date from the mid 1980's..I have personally produced 10's of millions of keystrokes on these things over the last 30 years. The tactile feedback is the key to it's performance, kinda hard to describe -- you have to try one for yourself -- after a few days you will never go back to a non-mechanical keyboard.

I hire a lot of college kids part time for light clerical duty. When they start , they almost all say that "these old keyboards" are so "low tech"..when they leave , I have caught a few of them trying to "liberate" a keyboard.
