Mathfaster, my rebates from 11/11 onward are all "Validation in progress". Normally the validation period is just 2 weeks.

Except when the rebate falls within the holiday return period.

So with all the talk about Serve locking accounts or closing them for trying to cash out Visa prepaid cards to your bank account, should we still use or setup an account with them if we want to cash these Visas or any rebate Visa prepaid cards we get from rebate companies?

Is it better to go with Amazon Payment instead and setup 2 accounts, one for myself and another to someone else to do transfers and get those Visas cashed out back to me?

Is Serve really shutting down accounts due to doing an excess of transfers from Visas to bank account or if we are not as aggressive with it we should be OK?

Any feedback on which way to go now when trying tg o cash out these or other Prepaid Visas such as those we get from rebates?

Actually, my rebates submitted on 11/11 were purchased on 11/10. Offer #12-27963 (Kaspersky) and #12-27502 (photo paper) were both 11/4-11/10, and both are still being validated. Unless something else is wrong, the rebate center is applying the holiday return policy on these rebates.

Yes, that rebate on Kaspersky should have gone to validation complete this past Monday. Should also be outside the holiday return period. Strange.

Well, tried to use Serve to load my GCs on...worked well for a little while...

With black friday I actually just used most of my GCs, so I loaded 3 GCs with small remaining balances each to serve. The 4th one gave me me an error, called the number phone rep linked the card, added funds (rep told me you could only have 4 cards linked, so after transferring funds delete the card).

Today added the 5th, it is linked fine but, but got this error trying to load funds:
"You have the following errors. We are unable to complete your request at this time. Please call Customer Service at 1-800-954-4559."
1) the 1-800 # they provide is invalid
2) # on card works, vicious phone rep says loading with Gift Cards is NOT allowed, it is against their terms of agreement, it may work for a few but that you will be FLAGGED and will not be able to load anymore GCs, apparently I'm now flagged for loading ~$150 onto serve from GCs
This doesn't match at all with the very polite rep the other day, I'll call back again but another day and ask what is going on...

I tired 5 or 6 other different prepaids cards I got from rebates, but none of those work
I thought serve would be good to consolidate those small GCs and prepaids rebate cards onto...guess that's a no...

That's weird, I got $2000 out through three Serve accounts (one for me and one each for my parents), I did 800, 600, and 600 at 200 per account per day. Weird that they are giving you grief.

My experience has been much better. I put my information onto each prepaid card over at GoWallet so that it matches the name and address info in my Serve account. Once loaded I use my Serve card to purchase free after rebate check items and cash out that way.

I have been getting the same, but I didn't call. I loaded 2 $200.00 g/c's and when I tried loading the 3rd I got the card.

Yep, not sure what I did wrong they didn't like, I didn't even cash anything out, I just used the serve card to buy stuff. I'll give it a shot next week and see if its any different.

I take that back, the 1st GC I loaded was the full $200, I registered them with giftcardmall (from the back of the card), and used that to buy free after rebate software. It worked well so I tried to load the remaining partial cards and that's when I had the problem with the 5th.

I thought I remember reading you can only add 4 cards at a time to Serve.

Yea I was only able to have 4 linked debit cards on my account at a time. I've successfully loaded 1 of my sets of gift cards to my serve account with no problem. They've all been for the full $200 amount.

I think keep making some small purchases on the serve card would definitely help...
