  • How much money can I add, send, or request each month?
  • You can add up to $1,000 per day via an ACH transfer from your bank and up to $200 per day via debit card, and up to $100 per day via credit card or debit card (there is a monthly debit card load limit of $1,000 and a monthly credit card load limit of $250). You may add up to $2,500 to your Serve account per month, depending on your account limits. You can add money from your linked U.S. bank account, U.S. credit card, or U.S. debit card up to thirty times in a calendar month. You can add up to $500 a day with a MoneyPak® (MoneyPak purchase fees may apply).

thanks, looks like a hassle with the daily limits, does anyone know if chase credit cards treat serve funding as a purchase?

You can try but the T&Cs on that coupon exclude use on gift cards as do most Staples coupons that are not item specific. I don't know if the register rejects coupons on gcs or if cashiers are savvy about the terms of coupons and gift cards.

Went to staples today no $200 gift cards and even worse was a sign posted saying gift cards must be paid for with cash.

This is some unpleasant news.
Gift cards must be paid for with cash? Since when was that a Staples store policy?

I love how some store are run by morons.. And as far as not accepting their own Visa prepaid cards as payment, thats total BS. I am not out there to pick a fight but we should call them out on that. It is a perfect form of payment, why the f**k should they care where it came from?

Ya, I was under the impression if any retail store advertises they accept a certain brand of credit cards (e.g. VISA), they have to accept it as long as the charge is > $5.

One would guess that store had a lot of fraud allowing credit card purchases of gift cards. Not even a debit card though.

Each store (not just Staples) sets its own policy. Whether that's consistent with the corporate policy is another story. One store says cash or debit card only, no credit card. Another store gladly splits the payment across multiple prepaid cards.

They have the right to ask id and if you are willing to provide that, anything else they say is just their own ignorance and stupidity. If I am in a mood, I will call them on it. One of the managers even called the cops on me once, created a scene but int the ends, those pigs were like thanks for wasting our time like they have anything better to do anyways.

I never refuse to provide id.
The case that I mentioned was for something else. I have a few account where I have to do certain no of trans a month and I go to Staples and do a few copies. But this bitch of a manager had an issue with why I have "so many" cards, plus the fatc that I have complained about her a few times. I told her none of her business, they are mine if you want to verify. So she goes and call the pigs and I tell them the same thing, here is my id and none of your business. They tried to provoke me to do something stupid but failed and finally went away with their tail in their legs. They though they were going to catch some big time identity thief. Some of these small town cops are unbelievable.

Sometimes i think complaining about managers, even when complaining to Staples corporate , doesn't really do anything. That just makes the manager hell-bent on giving you a hard time later.

Really wish there's a channel to complain about unreasonable managers to get a result.
