Samsung Galaxy S3 no contract 469.99,Verizon(new)

Wouldn't it, at this point, make more sense to open a new account on Black Friday and get the $.96 S3 from Sam's and then just cancel the account and pay the ETF. I believe the ETF fee is $350 from Verizon.

Or the S3 will be $129 from Walmart and then get a $100 gift card (Or maybe this has been covered in the thread already)

then what can you do with the verizon S3 phone? i still dont know what point of buying this verizon S3 non contract phone since beginning.

well, I think the point would be that you are not locked into a contract or using an upgrade. this is important for people that are still getting unlimited data via Verizon. As soon as they upgrade they will lose their unlimited data.

Also, it gives you a great phone at a reasonable price. If you weren't eligible to upgrade in the near future, but needed a good phone now this would get you a phone to use that you can sell for probably minimal loss and then you can use your eligible upgrade when it comes due.

Snagged one of these for the wife, who's not really fond of her iPhone 4S. It finally arrived yesterday, and turned out to be the 32GB model.

no, that is the mini and is an unlocked international version, not only will that phone not work on verizon because it probably doesn't support cdma or verizon's lte band for that matter, but it also has a smaller 4" screen and is a bit of a lower end model in other ways too.

I received the 32GB model as well. My only gripe is that the packaging condition looked more like a return than new. No scratches / or blemishes and with 32GB of storage, I really can't complain.

does verizon have a prepay / non committment plan that this could be used with?

I have this phone but don't know what to do with it. I'd like to activate it on PagePlus but none of the mom & pop stores here seem to have the ability to do this for me.

you can do it online through pageplus from my experience at least. i know they don't activate iphones, but not sure if a phone as new as the SGS3 would have any restrictions.

I tried that but I believe the MEID gives it away that it is a 4G LTE phone and I can't proceed with activation.

A lot of people would be looking for a decently priced off-contract S3 because they have grandfathered in unlimited data plans. If they decide to opt for upgrade pricing, they will lose their unlimited data, so only way to keep it in to buy off contract phones
