Hmmmm...then from the looks of the deals in ads I am just going to go for the 1tb with 16gb thumb drive package Sam's club is currently offering for a portable.

Maybe I can nab one of the 2tb drives from Office Depot or Maxx since the ones around me don't get as much BF traffic.

IMHO it's probably a good idea to keep an eye on non Black Friday SD posts as well, there's been lots of good deals lately and you wouldn't have to stand in line.... You may want to specify portable or desktop size. Lots of folks prefer 1 TB to 2 TB for lower failure rates, etc. so that's something to keep in mind when tempted by larger drives....

Looking at the Walmart toshiba 1TB for $59.99 and the Office Max HGST Touro for $64.99. Each of them have their issues. The toshiba looks more like complaints about the back up software that is included, which I'll delete and use the backup software on my PC or laptop.

Though Walmart is more of a pain with the longer lines than Office Depot, Walmart usually had more inventory. And people usually don't think of Walmart for hard drives, usually for TV's, videos, games, etc. But it also depends on if I can purchase the hard drives online and if shipping is free. Online purchase is my first option then waiting in line at walmart especially when their doorbuster for this item start at 10pm thanksgiving day.
