How exactly does walmarts "10pm" sales work when stores open at 8?

probably fill up all your carts with the sales stuff at 8, then get in line at the register at 10

I too am curious, for example you wanted some event 1 items, do you just go back to the end of the line of the event 2?

Just as they have done in the past years - you can get in fill your cart but the sale prices aren't activated in the register until the appropriate times. If you try to check out early you are charged the full price.

So I can get there..lets say 2pm, fill up on the 25$ games, and get in line?

Yes - and just stand around until the appropriate time that the deal kicks in.

How does this work with big ticket items like a TV? They don't exactly let you have them in your cart

So how would this work for the one hour guarantee if i was trying to get an IPad? Does it require being in the store during the 1 hour guarantee or does being "queue" mean i can still be in line to get into the store and secure the guarantee price

I'm guessing a lot of the stuff will be on pallets that are covered, and they won't uncover them until 10. I'm also guessing that their attempt will only be somewhat successful. I've seen them do this before, and I've seen obnoxious shoppers cut/tear through the plastic to grab an item. And I'm not even talking about high dollar tvs...I'm talking legos.

I just called my local walmart:

They'll be shutting down and 'reopening' at 8pm. No standing in line at 2pm inside the store
If you want an item that's on sale at 10, you have to be in line at 8.

two hrs to mace or trample other shoppers, this won't cause a melee

Walmart near my home is 24 Hours....and last BF i saw people lining up for that emerson TV at like 8 PM when it was going to go live at 12 AM..
For other items, we were not allowed to put in carts as everything was put in aisles and wrapped in black sheet of plastic.
People used to gather near those isles and those wrapped area as they get to know what is there inside and at 12 AM when the walmart folks give a go ahead....All Hell Breaks Loose....Mayhem here and there.

I am going to record all this, this year as i don't have to buy anything anyways.

Anyone with a kid knows how serious business legos are.
