Its a QWERTY slider phone running ICS with a Snapdragon S2 processor for only $30. Its a great deal even if you never plan to use it as a phone.

I saw this on another forum, one dedicated to Android device users, but I wanted to confirm it. How in the world did you find out about this deal? I'd love to see the source circular or database or whatever. Not meaning to insult you, I just joined this forum and want to be able to know for certain that it's a legit deal.

When "black friday" and a store is mentioned in a deal post, especially by an sd deal editor, look at the black friday section on sd to see if the scans have been posted already, or use google to search for the bf scan elsewhere.

How is this phone compared to say the Optimus V? My V, which I've had for about a year and a half, is becoming increasingly annoying to use even after being overclocked and flashed. I'm not looking for anything amazing, but I often find myself not even bothering to go on facebook or the internet because I know it will probably take a while to load or crash. I just want to be able to reliably open stuff up without freezing.

Should be much better. The Optimus V only has a 600mhz S1, this phone as the next generation 1ghz S2. Its the same processor used in the Xperia Play, HTC Thunderbolt so its not exactly new, but a lot better than what you have currently. Besides the higher clock speed this phone also supports ARMv7 which is pretty much the standard on newer devices and some apps won't run without it like Adobe Flash/Air, games like Temple Run, etc. This phone is one of the few cheap prepaid phones I've seen with ICS so that alone makes it worth it.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. For 30 bucks, it's worth a shot. If it sucks, I can sell it, if not, I can sell the OV and basically get a free upgrade.

Anyone know if switching to this phone from the Optimus V will cause my bill to go from $25 to $35 for those of us that are grandfathered in to the $25 plan? And thanks for the nice find.

Never mind I did some research and it looks like you can't keep the $25 plan, oh well.

$50 savings over current price, not too bad if you are in the market.

Heard this phone sucks compared to the optimus slider and has a lot of bugs though.

This may not be prepaid.
It just say "no contract"
So highly possible that it is monthly plan without contract.

I don't know the market on this particular phone, but I hope I can still get one by BF afternoon. FWIW, I was by Target and took a quick look, and saw only 4 on the shelf. Dunno if that's all that store will have on Friday, but I would not be surprised considering BF ads.

It'd be nice if inventory goes like the Cricket Samsung bundles from BB last year. It's like BB couldn't get rid of their overstock of bundles fast enough despite flipping pretty well all through January.
