We actually did two separate check outs. I wasn't sure what would happen on the first, so we bought a bunch of items we needed, checked out, scanned the coupon (as an item), it beeped and subtracted $50, we paid and left. Woohoo!

Then we dropped the stuff off at the car and went back in to pick up our refridgerator. But this time, the coupon (different one) wasn't scanning properly. I kept trying over and over, but nothing. The woman at the self-checkout "help desk" tried to tell me I needed to hit coupon. I ignored her and kept doing it as an item. She started to walk over, and I was like "oh shit", but it beeped at the last minute and I stuffed it down the coupon shoot and paid. She asked if I needed help, and I said "no thanks", paid and left.
