im really paranoid with getting the n7, there are still claims of peoples screen popping out including the 32gb one

OK, so the N7 is hypothetically better.
But, if you're looking for a xmas gift for a kid (7-10) to mainly play games, listen to music, watch videos, etc. , is there a reason to spend the extra $50. |

Does that mean they can function as universal remotes? What other tablets have an IR port apart from the samsung 7s? |

When I travel in the car with the kids, each has a Nook Color to watch videos. It's nice having external memory so I can easily manage the shows on each, copying back and forth from my laptop or simply swapping memory cards around. My point is that for some people, having external memory might be more important than having faster processor and better screen. It's nice to have choices!

Definitely a nice deal , having bought new as a gift at costco for much more just a couple weeks ago.
Back camera is trash for those hoping to get great pics. Definitely won't get updates like the jellybean 4.2 with multiuser support. Does have some really neat utility apps unique to samsung like shortcuts and media apps though. |
