is $50 really that much more user experience? im trying to low budget a tablet to BS on while im away on duty or in the field. all i need is a camera to skype with the family and some fun games and the occasional movie to sleep to.
knowing my local bb they will make up some excuse and want me to pay them
Works really smoothly ever since upgrading to Jellybean and the screen is nice and clear. I only use it when I'm in my car so I don't have much experience with much else. I however could not get the IR Remote to sync to my LG tv. Not sure if I'm doing it wrong or something but I just couldn't get it to sync.
So whats the verdict on the warranty for this refurbished tab? Is there an extended one by Walmart? Right now the popup shows nothing? OD and Sears are giving this for 179 during BF. Then why not go for those? Whats the warranty for a new one vs. refurbished like?
Seems like every time a Tab comes up it quickly gets filled with misinformation and N7 fanboys.
Some basic info for those on the fence:
First, the N7 and the Tab 2 7" are almost identical physically. Literally, without branding it is hard to tell them apart.
Benefits of the N7:
* Faster CPU
* Higher res screen
* Faster updates from Google
Benefits of the Tab 2:
* IR Blaster for controlling stuff that use remotes, also PEEL app which is like Netflix suggested content for live TV (takes your likes/dislikes and quickly shows you what is on TV).
* Rear camera
* HDMI out with an adapter
* SDcard slot (for $20 you can add 32gb to your storage)
Overall though unless you are going to be playing top-end games on your tablet then you aren't going to notice the CPU difference that much. Most people aren't going to care about staying cutting edge with Google Android updates either.
The Tab 2 is 100% verified to be getting Jelly Bean 4.1 soon, probably by the end of the year. Samsung has not said anything about updates for any devices beyond 4.1 yet but the Tab 2 will probably see at least one more update after 4.1.
So decide if you want value added features or a really fast CPU.
The screens on either one are very nice, with incredible viewing angles. I can watch my Tab at about 60 degrees while in bed and it has little washout. In comparison a cheap Chinatab or even something like a viewsonic gTablet only get about 25 degrees before they wash out completely or go negative color reversing.
Battery life on both is very good, touchscreen on both devices are very good.
Tons of accessories for both, although you will probably get Tab 2 accessories cheaper since it has been around longer.
Sorry, this is proof that not everything on sale is a deal.
It is an non-starter given that the new Nexus 7 with 16GB storage, a far superior screen and front camera and a faster CPU retails at $199 and the discontinued 8GB version of Nexus 7 when available will likely be at this price or lower. And a REFURBISHED one here is at $150?
The only thing this has over the Nexus 7 is a back camera and a SD storage slot, but the low resolution screen at this price?
Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. If you prefer Samsung brand you will likely find a new one being sold by retailers at this price this month.
ty i was wondering how this went against the nexus
