I didn't think they made 3D tv's at 60hz refresh rate, I thought they had to be 120 for the alternating images....guess I'll have to research a little more...
120Hz is for active shutter glasses. This TV is likely Passive technology (polarized). Really, sources only output 24 or 30 FPS. 120Hz is the least common multiple that the screen refresh rates match up for bluray and DVD/broadcast. So at the upscaled speed of 120Hz, there is less lag and stutter. Even active glasses could operate at 60Hz technically, but your eyes would see the blinking of the lenses at that low of a speed.
