Are they bright though? I know the ones that the poster is talking about.. I went into HD today and saw the lumens was lowso I didn't get it. The CFL bulb I have now is like 1,000 but was looking for a brighter one.

I just switched some over from 60w CFL to 15w 725 Lumens...it's day and night.
I will never go back if I can afford to switch everything over to LED.

Lowes is taking the $50/100 coupon from HD so I'm going to abuse that.

Is that $50/$100 still available for lowes? How do we get it?

These are $11 at my HD (in Michigan). The 60w equivalent (800 lumens) were $15, I bought 7 of them plus used a $50 off $100 coupon. I really like them. The light looks great, very bright, works fine with a dimmer switch, etc.. Highly recommended.

Picture of Philips promo display, as well as the price labels 9.97 for the 40-watt equivalent, 12.94 for the philips 60-watt equivalent (sold out at our store). There were no labels either at the Philips display or at the shelf in the light-bulb aisle to indicate that this was a special electric-company-sponsored price.

The EcoSmart Cree 4-in and 6-in LED retrofit downlights were 22.97 and 24.97, respectively (still a pretty good price), but they've been running similar to that at other sites per earlier posts. These specifically had labels saying that it was "SPECIAL PRICING brought to you by: nationalgrid NSTAR MassSave.com"

Great deal, but seems to be regional. Local HD is regular price. I tried plugging in some MI zips online for instore pickup and the $15 price was available, but I'm not about to drive from TX to MI for pickup.

Anyone know if HD stores will pricematch other regions?

I do wish for these, they had the option to of a whiter "daytime" light.

that is a sweet price on the 4 inch downlights!
wish they were that price in CA... where are you located?
