Shop Discover [discover.com] is now offering 20% Cashback Bonus for the holidays and it is a great time to take advantage and get a good deal on a year's supply of Acuvue Oasys contact lens. (I'm unaware of the other Credit Card company's cashback rewards. If you know what they are for Visiondirect.com, please don't hesitate to share it in the wiki and I'll update the original post. Thanks)

This deal applies to both Acuvue Oasys and Acuvue Oasys with Astigmatism Contact Lens! *These are Bi-Weekly lenses*

For Acuvue Oasys Contact Lens [visiondirect.com]
$207.92 Subtotal
-$23 Volume Discount (automatically added when you add a year supply of contacts into your shopping cart)
-$46.23 from the 25% discount code NEW25VISION (this code can only be used if you are a new customer. if you already have an account with them, clear your cookies from visiondirect.com and make a new account so you can use this code)
-$27.74 from the 20% Cashback Bonus from Shop Discover
-$50 rebate from Acuvue Oasys first time wearer rebate [acuvue.com] (or -$25 if you're a current user)
+ FREE SHIPPING
--------------------------------------------
= $60.95 ( $7.62/box )

For Acuvue Oasys Contact Lens for Astigmatism [visiondirect.com]
$303.92 Subtotal
-$20 Volume Discount
-$70.98 from the 25% discount code NEW25VISION (this code can only be used if you are a new customer. if you already have an account with them, clear your cookies from visiondirect.com and make a new account so you can use this code)
-$42.59 from the 20% Cashback Bonus from Shop Discover
-$50 rebate from Acuvue Oasys first time wearer rebate [acuvue.com] (or -$25 if you're a current user)
+ FREE SHIPPING
--------------------------------------------
= $120.35 ( $15.04/box )

*NOTE* For those who have gotten an Acuvue Rebate before, just use a different address and you will still be able to get the rebate
*NOTE* If you don't have a Discover Card to get in on this deal. You can still jump in on this deal with all the discounts other than the 20% Cashback, which makes the deal "less slick", but nonetheless, still a slickdeal!

slickdeals thread to opening up a new Disover Card with $50-$200 in cash back after making your first purchase within 3 months

this is true. you get 5% cashback in drugstore.com dollars when purchasing from visiondirect.com

edit: according to this page (http://deals.askmrcreditcard.com/...n-coupons/), you have to go to visiondirect through your credit card company's shopping portal, so I probably didn't get that $27 cashback on discover because OP didn't mention to do this.

REBATE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Purchases of 1-DAY ACUVUE® MOIST®, 1-DAY ACUVUE®MOIST® for ASTIGMATISM, 1-DAY ACUVUE® TruEye®, ACUVUE® OASYS®, ACUVUE® OASYS® for ASTIGMATISM and ACUVUE® OASYS® for PRESBYOPIA must be made 1/1/12 through 3/31/13 and rebate requests received at the mailing address on or before 4/30/13**. Product purchase must be made within 90 days after eye exam. Limit one product rebate per customer, per offer, per ACUVUE® Brand purchase, per yearly eye exam visit. You must enroll in the ACUMINDER® Tool, a free contact lens-change reminder service (after initial enrollment you may cancel at any time and still receive rebate). This offer not valid in combination with any other product offer or rebate including Money Back Guarantee. Offer valid for U.S. residents only. Offer not valid where prohibited by law. Photocopy of the certificate is not valid for redemption. Allow 8–10 weeks for delivery. No P.O. boxes, only street or rural route addresses are acceptable. Fraudulent submissions could result in federal prosecution under the U.S. Mail Fraud Statutes (18 U.S. Code Section 1341 and 1342). Not responsible for lost, late or undelivered responses. Purchases made at Costco®, Walmart®, Sam’s Club®, 1800CONTACTS®, and Target Optical® are not eligible for any of these rebate offers, but other special offers are often available for ACUVUE® purchases at these retailers. Please check the store for details. Three (30-ct.) boxes can be substituted for one (90-ct.) box; same criteria for rebate eligibility applies. For ACUVUE® OASYS®, eight (8) boxes can be substituted for two (2) 24-packs; same criteria for rebate eligibility applies.

I think the Discover cash back is invalid when you apply the code NEW25VISION? According to the terms on Discover:

Offer is not valid in combination with any offers found outside ShopDiscover
nah, it works

I've done it several times, that is every single year since bing ended their cashback program

FYI

I believe discovercard INVALIDATES the cashback % if a coupon is used in the transaction. So you would not be able to double dip as the original post would suggest.

Another option is to use urlhasbeenblocked.com when they have the 16% cashback bonus (instead of the regular 8%) - they have no problems with use of coupon codes (in fact they recommend using coupons)

Buyer beware.

nope. all the sites that people have been using shopdiscover for, along with other coupon codes, still yielded the cashback. discover has no way of tracking whether you used another coupon or not.

This isn't entirely true. Shopdiscover (and pretty much any cashback site) relies on the merchant to kick back referral money based on whatever criteria they have set. The merchant can refuse to grant referral money based on promo codes that were used. This is actually quite common with most merchants, though I do not know the specific situation with Vision Direct. I personally have had my cashback not show up on my Discover several times after I used a promo code.

hmm maybe you're right. but for all my friends and family who have gotten in on this particular deal. they have never had a problem getting the cashback after using the coupon code. also, i have been purchasing from those Macys.com suit deals here at slickdeals and every time that i've used shopdiscover for the extra cashback along with using those coupon codes that were provided to me either from the mail or the website, it was a 100% success rate.

I've found that Macy's is very liberal with cashback success. On the other hand, pretty much any purchase I've made with Newegg involving a promo code, even one prominently displayed on the product page itself, resulted in a denial. I've followed up with Discover before whenever a cashback didn't show up, but I almost always get a dressed up version of "tough luck."

Ultimately, it really comes down to the merchant. When in doubt, don't count cashback has a sure thing.

http://slickdeals.net/f/5460870-Discover-Credit-Card-50-cashback-after-first-purchase-in-3-months?v=1&p=54591964#post54591964 you can customize it to where you can get up to $200 in cashback for opening a new discover card. that's only if you choose to have a high APR. but if you make full payments every month, this will not be a problem.
