You said that only LCD lag. I was pointing out how completely incorrect your statement was and that most gaming monitors are LCD. Admit when you are wrong and move on. Lol and you called me clueless. So is everyone over at AVSforum clueless too? [avsforum.com] Read up on it. Then come back. Keep in mind that those initial numbers have now been proven to be too generous and the lag is actually more. Input lag problems on Panasonic TC-P50U50 [avsforum.com] That model.. it seems familiar. Where have I seen it before? What is this?

Both lag. And please tell me where I was arguing LCD over plasma? I request you not join a conversation and start putting out of context words in my mouth. I simply asked a question, because I'm trying to pick a Plasma for gaming (if that's even possible) and these guys jumped all over me with misinformation up the wazoo. There is no such thing as "zero lag." Literally every display device has lag. Please stop misleading people. Educate yourself on the topic. [wikipedia.org] Last edited by slugbom; 11-17-2012 at 04:22 AM.. |

Part of plasma's image sharpness is due to shinier screen. When I compared plasma/LED/LCD once at Best Buy, I noticed the LEDs' screens were not a shiny as plasma, but more shiny than LCD. I'm sure that is part of LEDs perceived better picture. I've had a 50" Panasonic plasma since before the 2008 olympics... still the sharpest picture in the house. FWIW.. |

Well a month ago it was $799 but military base only. Paul's TV has (or had) it for $950 shipped with white glove, use coupon GET100, might still work. So I'm hoping somewhere in the range. Last year's model was only $600 at BB during Black Friday. I myself might just wait until Jan or Feb now if it doesn't come down around $900 shipped. This is the only tv in my price range that is being recommend for console gaming due to issues mentioned above. |

I've been on the fence since last Thursday for this unit. Read as many reviews possible, looked at it in BB, and have done a decent amount of research. I am still torn from just pulling the trigger or keep searching for a slightly better unit. I'd like to stay within a 800$ ish budget and will do plenty of gaming and cable watching on the TV. Any advice from anyone please would be appreciated if this unit will do the trick or can point me in the direction of something else. Ty in advance.

People, like myself, use computer monitors for console gaming because the time between me pressing the button and an action on the screen happening is low. You said nothing other than talking about 'the good ole days' and how people don't travel with their monitors (even that isn't true because mine fits perfect in my suitcase and I travel great distances with it). But whatever. Keep clucking that chicken. |
