You absolutely, positively CANNOT use a power strip with PL units. If you go read reviews, most complaints are from those that use them and obviously can't read the instructions.

That's why I mentioned it, in case the person gets it and has problems but is using a power strip. Although I must say I've read reviews where people used power strips with no problem, but it's good to know for troubleshooting purposes.

Absolutely hot, FP hot. If I am not mistaken, the lowest we have seen for a pair. If you are new to Powerline, go for it. These may work as well as the newer 500Mbps adapters for most people.

So long as you're not trying to use them between different apartments, it's fine, as every apartment should have their own breaker. I suppose that if the building were older than the hills and not up to code, there might be an issue, but I don't see that happening.

That's an 85 Mbps kit. Not the same at all. You should have mentioned that. At this point, at these prices, no one should be wasting money on those unless they do not plan to stream anything. Even them I would totally stay away.

I'm currently using the PA211. It is working like a charm. I want to purchase this PA210 kit to expand my network. Does anyone know if the PA210 is compatible with the PA211?

Also, what does single and multiple IPTV Set-Top-Box mean?

Have to disagree, I used this kits to live stream from Tvpad, which is live stream tv programs from asia, works very well.

Yes you can plug powerline units into powerstrips. It's not recommended by the manufacturer but it works.

It probably won't work between different apartment units since there could be transformers and elcetric meters between different apartment units. I tried the Netgear ones with my neighbors in a different apartment in the same building in the past. It does not work.

By the way, I have the same question as other post. Are the units expandable? I already have two of it and I am very satisfied with them. If I am going to by another pair, are they able to work together (4 units)? Thanks.

All new generation powerline units should be compatible with each other. But in practice, it may be a different story altogether. The hard part is getting the units from different manufacturers paired with each other, as config slightly varies from one manufacturer to another.

Works just fine for many, many, many people. Not sure what sort of super-HD, bandwidth-hogging megapron you're streaming, but Netflix is reported over and over and over again to be more than adequate with those units.

No reason to spread FUD here.
