I may have to pick up that Makita drill set. A friend of mine who used to be an independent contractor has those and they are pretty prowerful for 12 V and they've lasted him quite a few years.
What do you think about that vs. the Ryobi 18-volt for kit for the same price? That's the one I was eying. I'm far from a tool expert, but I've had a good friend recommend Ryobi (and Makita too, but he like the Ryobi battery system in particular).
I've never done HD on BF before. Do these kinds of deals get posted online too? Are they likely to sell out fast (i.e., are they as limited as some other deals at BB might be where there's only a small handful of items)?
I've needed a new drill for some time and I haven't really seen a better deal on a Li-ION battery set any time in the past 6 months or so. May as well jump on this one if it's not too much of a hassle to get in on it.
Also, what are the chances they'd take a 10% coupon on this? Terms state it can't be combined with any other discount/offer/special promotion, but that's somewhat ambiguous.
