Priced high at $99. Any deals? Haven't seen it on any black friday lists either.

I have been looking too and can't find any deals on it. This is priced highly, TRU had the large ones a year or two ago for $99.

Yup, this is on my Daughters list as well. I've been keeping an eye out for deals but have not seen anything yet

I have heard that $99 is as low as it will go for the season. Many stores are still selling it for $139 and $119. I have not seen it on any of the Black Friday lists. The cheapest way that we purchased it was to get the $20 off Toys R Us coupon from E-bay (they run between $2-$5), and then apply it at Toys R Us (they are selling it for $99.99). This is the only deal I have seen for it this holiday season.

On a side note, we purchased one as a gift for a friends 5 year old daughter, huge mistake! I am not sure if the problem is with the toy itself, or with the child. Some of the problems that have come up with it are:
Making really loud grinding, motor movement sounds, which are considered normal by the company who manufactures the toy

The zipper that attaches the head to the body is next to impossible to unzip once you zip it, so make sure you have everything properly in place before zipping the zipper all of the way. Once it's attached, you can still feel the "neck" and it feels hard and plastic, rather than soft and smooth to pet like you would expect it to.

The thing eats batteries faster than carrots (literally!) it burns through 6D batteries at a time, and the batteries last under a month. This is turning him off after each use,if you don't turn him off, the batteries last under a week.

A very small child will be able to ride the pony, but a 5 year old is too large to ride it, a horse from Furreal such as Smores would be a better choice.

The head becomes floppy over time (less than two months), and looks like it's going to fall off. The manufacturer didn't offer much help for this problem. Basically, check the screws to make sure that they are tight, and then spread the wires in the head out evenly so that they are not too tight. When that failed, we bought two cloth dinner napkins, and folded them in half, in half again, and then in half again. We put one on the left side and the right side of the mechanical neck. The napkins helped keep the head from flopping from side to side. I found this out from my sister who bought the same toy for her child.

When you want the pony to make the "riding sound" you have to smack the heck out of it to get it to work. We thought we got a defective pony, exchanged it, and the new one is the same way. My sister's daughter's pony is the exact same way, though the riding sound is cute.

Butterscotch only came with one carrot to chew on, and nothing else. Pretty much anything that will fit in his mouth he can chew on, but it would have been nice to see other included accessories, especially for the price.

One final note is that the manufacturer does not provide much help if your item is defective, so keep your original store receipt (and hope they have more in stock).

Overall, the child I purchased this toy for, enjoys brushing it's mane the most, which thankfully is easier to manage than a real horses mane. She also loves to feed it, and feeds it some of her play food, including a stalk of celery and snap peas. She has even been able to balance a sand pail in it's mouth and fill it with flowers and other goodies. She plays with it for approximately 15 minutes at a time, then it sits forgotten about. This was her first Furreal Friend pet, so maybe she was the problem, not the pony itself.

Target has it in store for 49.99. The sign on the shelf says 99.00 but it scans for 49.99.
