The 520 is very quiet under normal use. There is no need to spend more $ on a PSU unless you're running two high-end graphic cards. Full load with an overclocked quad core and high end GPU should be around 350W. Note that the 520C does not come with an AC power cord. Efficiency may be 2-3% lower than a bronze PSU. The additional $ saved on electricity will be minimal unless you're pushing the rig at 100% load (CPU and GPU) all the time. The most important consideration when building a power PC is case ventilation. A well-vented case like the Antec 300 will keep the CPU, GPU, and PSU cool and quiet. Heat is the #1 killer of these devices. High temperature also causes a moderate drop in PSU efficiency. |

Just got this and it is a beast weight wise (usually means a decent power supply). Was hoping to lighten my weight from my Antec 850 but looks like I'll just hang on to it for a future build.
