Hmmm...well yes...32a on corsair vs 40a on this...and the fact that this has 2 pci-e power connectors...my only problem is getting the order switched....i placed it last night(eastern time)...only got an email for card being charged...will newegg easily switch the order ? Im already not so fond of them for their restocking fees unlike amazon..

Also is it confirmed that this is built by seasonic?...cause thats a huge plus... And one last thing...is the correct rebate form up already or will be up in a couple days?(i didnt look into this personally yet...just reading past comments)

Same here on rebate acceptance. I will say that Corsair has the best rebate system of any company I have dealt with. It has never taken more than 4 weeks to receive a rebate from them and usually they come in about 3 for me. Corsair is even faster than 4myrebate no wait rebates and just as reliable. Antec rebates for me take an average of 6 to 7 weeks but have never been much of a problem. Then again, I don't believe I sent any rebates in to Antec during their restructuring.

If you can't decide which one to keep, simply get both, submit both rebates, list them both on amazon for sale. Sell whichever sells first(or just keep the Antec as it is a better unit). I have sold about 6 of these corsairs this year like that and miscellaneous other PSU's. Next year I am going to sell as many as possible. They sell for about the cost before rebate after shipping and fees and then you get $15 to $20 back when the rebate comes in.

Terrific deal. Never know when you might need one. Got one now so I'm ready when I do.

There are plenty of good quality PSUs made by other companies besides Seasonic.

But yes, this is absolutely a Seasonic made PSU. It is similar to their S12-II 520W. This means it is an older design that is merely 80Plus, not Bronze or anything fancy like that.

Even the highest end quad core socket 1155 CPU can be used on a quality 100W PSU if such a "beast" were available (not overclocked, using integrated graphics, single SSD). A quality 450W PSU can run an overclocked quad with the highest end single GPU graphics card, with power to spare.

See this listing of power draw [anandtech.com]. They are listed by graphics card. The system has a quad core CPU. The power draw is for the ENTIRE COMPUTER.

A lot of people are giving this antec unit praise but is anyone turned off by the 1 star reviews? I am strongly considering purchasing this. TIA

I just bought the Antec Earthwatts EA-650 Green for a mini ITX build I'm doing with the Fractal Node 304. I know that 650W is overkill for that, but I got it b/c it was only 34 bucks with rebate, and figured, why not get somethign with a higher ceiling in case I go bigger in the future. I'm considering returning it though for this one, since it's 155mm vs this at 150. I'm not sure if the 155 will fit in the 304, as some people have reported 160 being a very tight fit, despite the node being listed as fitting up to 160.

Anyone have experience with this?

yeahh...so i cancelled my earlier order (Corsair 430W) only to read the horrendous 1 star reviews on this PSU...

so now at an even bigger dilemma... is it really worth it to order this over the corsair 430W ?

the high chance of it being DOA (dead on arrival) or dying within 6 months...and then the huge hassle of the RMA process with shipping costs for a heavy PSU out of my pocket...and then as some reviews said it fried their other components as well.

Also the higher wait time for rebate plus the chance of not being honored...

all of this for a better PSU (On-paper atleast)... made by an otherwise reliable company...

if i get the corsiar...cheaper...faster rebate...guaranteed excellent build quality made to last...and just better customer service period.

Decisions decisions.......input ? (have to decide within a couple hours).

The only reason I picked this one over the Corsair was because in the reviews two people mentioned fire / smoke. I'd rather a PSU just die than burn my house down. I'd like to hear other people's input though, there are not alot of total reviews for the antec in comparison to the corsair.

my 2 cents, i order theis power supply on october 31, paid $46.98 after shipping, got it three days later, didnt install it till this last saturday, everything seems to be running good so far, my specs, Phenom II X720 three core(but unlocked 4th core since i got the CPU years ago, so its a quad core) single Radeon 4850, Samsung SSD, 1 HDD Western Digital Black 640, running all fans on a Coolermaster HAF case (4 fans) i just wished i waited longer, i could have got it cheaper with the rebate
