I have the M4 as my main drive. It's nice. If you get an older one, and you probably won't, Just make sure it has the updated firmware that fixes the 5000 hour bug problem. But, those older firmware M4 are probably gone by now.

The M4 I bought from the Egg 7 months ago came with the newer firm ware installed not to much to worry about. Nice solid drive

However, Crucial only says the upgrade if you only have issues with the 000F firmware.

They do normally use Black Friday to dump old stock. Lucky for us, Samsung 830's will now be eligible for dumping the old, to make room for the new, with the 840's released.

Samsung 830's are arguably the best SSD's available. I'm hoping those start getting price slashed during Black Friday to make room for the 840's.

Looking for a 128GB around $60-$70, and a 256GB around $130 or so.

I already got a 256GB Crucial M4 earlier this year for $150, so we just have to wait and see if there's any other price cuts.

This is so tempting! I wonder if it is possible for the 256 gb version to go as low as $100 to $120 before the end of the year. I could buy the 256gb for me and give my 128 gb to my mom. She needs a ssd badly. Her computer is always slow and locking up..
