I wish I would have seen the obi100 deal. My VoIP is up in less than a month so I don't have time to wait for it to come again. Guess I'll be biting on this one. Ah well.

Thanks a lot. I was not sure how to respond to this sudden outburst. Since Obihai is clearing these devices from everywhere and its the end of 'free 2012' GV, I thought that's just a valid concern. The other poster is right about one thing I am not an expert (but he must be) on how retail works - I am just a savvy consumer

Port your landline to puretalkusa.com There are no charges to port and they will send you a free sim. Maybe you pay $10 for a month of service. Then you port to google voice. GV carges $20 to port so the total cost will be $30! I did it this way and it was simple and easy. Puretalk took almost 1 week to port the landline but i had a slam lock on it so I think that is why it took so long. Puretalk to google was about 14 hours.

Thanks for your NICE, POLITE and to the point reply to my question (I am not sure how to respond to the other person). Since I configured and tested the obihai device using the obitalk portal last night, I was not aware of the 'local' web interface that I just visited and looks similar to my SPA3102. That assures me that even if the company goes south (and a lot of VOIP companies follow that route) the device lives on. Unlike OOMA which I like a lot this assurance is great.

I have a PAP2 that I'm using for 3-4 years now. It has 2 ports for configuring the adapter with 2 different VOIP providers and I have and Nonoh and another provider. I see that Obi110 has one VOIP port and one line port. I don't understand how can you configure the OBI110 with 2 providers, since it has these ports (VOIP and line) ? My understanding is that you connect your analog phone to the VOIP port on your OBI and that's all ? How do I make outbound calls, if every VOIP provider has different dialing rules. For example, I am located in US and need to dial an international number. For Nonoh, I have to dial 00 + country code. For the other provider I only have to dial the area code in another country. When making a call, how do I know that I'm using Nonoh and not the other VOIP provider. Do I have to select something like a 0 or 9 in front of it ? Something like 9, to make phone calls using Nonoh and 0 to make calls using the other provider... Can anyone explain this, please ? Thanks in advance.

I have linksys pat-2t - do not use it anymore. i used when gizmo was around. can i still connect google vocie using it?

If the adapter is in working condition, then, YES, you should be able to use it with GV.

Buy it. It will pay for itself in one month. Mine has been flawless. 100 or 110 both work with GV. I have 110 and do not need second port
