Kroger 4x Fuel Points on Gift Cards Nov 18 - Dec 9: SAVE UP TO $70 PER FILL UP

Yes WTF? I finally figure out how to make the most of this deal and now they end it...not cool.

But it occurred to me that I should never pay for anything with a credit card or cash if I can use a gift card that I can get at Kroger with 4x points or even 2x points. I needed to buy $300 of items at Target this morning so I just stopped at Kroger first and got $300 in cards...that is 1200 fuel points or $1.20 a gallon x 35 or $42 in savings....and just gravy.

But going to try to get another $1K in GCs before this 4x promotion ends. I wish I had more room on my credit cards to buy more but that will have to do.

Reading that, it doesn't sound like the same thing as the fuel points program. Although I can see them changing that at some point so it is less lucrative. But they probably won't end it as it gets them a lot of business and doesn't cost them much when they don't have these promotions.
