Be careful of the email addresses you use. I entered two codes with my hotmail email address and never received any emails from JCP. I also entered 1 code with my work email. Received a congratulations email and claimed my prize, but never received the $10 certificate. Seems that the only ones I have any luck with is yahoo and gmail.

Just got my first certificate that arrived about ten hours after I "claimed" it, I think I read somewhere it would arrive in up to 48 hours after claiming. Good luck everyonewave

I'm not having much luck. I entered my first 2 codes on my AOL account and never heard anything back. My daughter entered the other 2 on her hotmail account and heard back rather quickly that she lost on one and won on the other. She claimed her win right away, on the 26th, and still hasn't gotten the reply with the code.

With my yahoo account, immediately after I entered the code I received an email stating I had won. I claimed the prize and the following morning (about 10hrs later) the gift certificate was in my inbox.

With hotmail, I entered 2 codes and have never received anything. So I guess those just went to waste. My boyfriend entered 2 codes with hotmail and HE never received anything either. So we will not be using hotmail again.

My BF also entered a code using his work email. He immediately received an email stating he won and went ahead and "claimed" the certificate. It has now been 3 days and he has NOT received the certificate. While in the mean time we have entered and received 2 more $5 certs on our yahoo account.

So it seems that some email providers (aol, hotmail etc...) are having some technical difficulties. Not sure if the emails will eventually arrive or not but for now I will stick to using my yahoo accounts for this promotion.

I think they have apparently blocked hotmail and msn accounts. Because it was working fine until yesterday for me. At first yahoo was very slow to receive emails but now its almost instant. I have switched everything to yahoo but everything I've won so far was through hotmail and have received everything I have claimed ($30 worth). Won another $10 on a yahoo account.

Info from the FAQ on the promotion part of Pennys web site

"I didn't get an email telling me if I won or lost? How long should this take?"

"We have noticed that a few email providers (AOL and Hotmail) have been a bit slower with delivering the initial emails due to traffic levels on their end. Our testing has shown that timing can range, anywhere from 5 minutes to a few hours."

I went to penneys today to use the gift certificates I had won. They allowed me to use them all on one purchase..how cool is that. On the certificate it says cannot combine certificates on single purchase...

I have a hotmail account and still awaiting to see if my codes won from early this morning. I called JCP customer service and they said:
"hotmail and AOL accounts are taking longer today...up to a day for a response."

Also, I checked out the FAQs page: Q: My code doesn't work or I can't read the code on my button?
"You can take the button back to the store to trade it for a different one or email the code in question to: info@jcpbuttons.com"

Hope this helps!

Sounds like it'll be up to the sales associate/store manager

This whole time, i've been thinking of purchasing "small ticket" items, but now, I can possibly get a coat for free?

wow wow wow....too much to process! lol
