I won a $50 gift card! Still trying for the $500 though!

How long do you have to use the gift certificates by?
When do they expire, end of year?

I hope someone here wins a big prize...anyone win anything other than the $5 and $10 certificates yet?
I think certificates (which comes in $5 or $10) are different from e-gift cards (comes in $25, $50 or higher?). Certificates expire 12/31 but there is no expiration on e-gift cards. Also, e-gift cards can be used both online and in-store.

Hey everyone, want to share my experience!

Bought 3 items totally $20, used 2 $10 HC = zero out the door

bought 2 items $30, wanted to use 1 $10HC and 4 $5 HC, but after entering the 4 $5 HC, the register prompted the sales associate to choose the HC that we'd want to use (weird!) and the $10HC wouldn't go through, so ended up having to pay $10.87

I am hypothesizing that I can only use 1 HC per 2 items.

Never going to make that mistake again.

Could it be that you used two different denominations of HCs? So if you would have used all $5 HCs on the last transaction you would have got it free? Im going to go tomorrow so unless someone beats me too it I will let everyone know!

I can re-confirm my first conclusion. Hubby went tonight to try to use $95 worth of $10's and $5's on one item. The first $10 one worked, the second $10 one cashier had to push, then manager came over to say it was one per transaction. So, here is how to get around it: One higher ticket item with X# of $1 items, coupons will scan. I plan to go back to get said item with 9 packs of $1.00 tissue paper. We did it this way on Tuesday with 6 $8.00 graphic tees and 6 packs of $2.00 tissue paper. We used 6 $10 certificates and our total was $0.00. It worked perfectly.

My Brother was told that they can combine all spend $ of one denomination, in one transaction. So, all $5's would work together, then all $10's in another transaction. He's up to 3ea $10's and 2ea $5's. My Niece is the only one of his kids also playing, she's one $5 and one $10 out of 8 tries.
I'm one $10 out of 2 tries. I really need to go back to JCP's!

Good Luck to all!
