Original price says $9.99. Remove "Norton Virus Removal Assurance" and use promo code CPNPAL25NORTON . Final price is $7.49.

Add promo code USNORTONTRUCK25 as it appears they will stack, making the final price $4.99. Thanks DebbieH7465 post #97.

If you do not want to mess with rebates, this deal may be for you. It's the cheapest non-rebate deal for a one year Norton Internet Security 3 user license I have seen.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

UPDATE: DEAL IS DEAD. IT IS NOW 39.99. I tried to purchase just now and when I clicked on the OPs link

Looks like the promo codes of CPNPAL25NORTON and USNORTONTRUCK25 will stack making the final price $4.99.
Thanks DebbieH7465 for providing the stackable code here: http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=54718960&postcount=97

no paypal check out.

Be sure to deactivate auto renew if you do not want to be re-billed in a year.

Go to: http://manage.norton.com to manage your product keys. You are limited to 3-PC's at once per product key. If your PC crashes and you can't uninstall the software you can remove the computer from there and re-install.

If you want to use the Norton Removal Tool to help uninstall an older version of a Norton product you can find it here - https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp/help-solutions.jsp?docid=kb20080710133834EN_EndUserProfile_en_us&product=home&pvid=f-home&version=1&lg=en&ct=us

Note that Comcast subscribers get Norton Internet Security 3 computer license as part of their internet subscription.

Is Norton better than Microsoft security essentials? So far I have no problem with MSE
Norton includes internet security protection and has shown to have a lower performance impact on systems in use.

AV Comparatives, Microsoft isn't bad, but isn't really in the top 5. Avira is a really solid freeware. I prefer Norton or Kasperksy when yearly Free after rebate comes along (leaning toward Norton this year). Waiting for the December 2012 summary before I install any of the 2013 software (still going to buy it if it's free).

Norton no longer takes part in av-comparatives. Maybe they'll change their mind and participate again in the future.

Any way to stack two codes together and make it expire in two years?
I did see an earlier poster mention he'd done a live chat with customer service and got them to combine the two.

Decided to go for it so I have another year lined up when it expires in about 6 months. Thanks OP!

Comcast Reminder:

As BoldIntrepid stated on Page 3, you can get the Norton Security Suite for free if you have a Comcast account. You only need to download an application and install it. If you're on a Comcast IP address you don't even need an email and password to activate it.

Thanks OP. I bought two.

It recorded today's date as 'Registration Date' in the Norton Account Center. It will have a date of activation listed separately upon activating the product. One year count will start from the Activation Date. My current subscription expires in Feb'13 so I will activate it then.

To those who are still on the fence, go for it, don't look back.

You can buy two keys and install one after the other expires. The time period begins to run when the key is entered in NIS not on the day of purchase. And you should be able to get an upgrade to the latest version when you enter your key if you decide to wait a while.

also when you install the key the first time, all three install clocks for that same key run concurrently.
