People respond that way to you not because you gave out the "specs" but because you gave out your opinion on how people should or should not treat those specs. In particular, you subtly implied that it is bad for people to eat this item because it has sugar and transfat in it and that people should not give it to kids.

When people put out specs on television or laptops AND give an opinion on it, they tend to get slammed the same way in response actually.

Oh and comparing fruit loops to brown rice crisps is like trying to say that people should drink water instead of beer. While yes it is an alternative, it is not really within the same ballpark of reasonability.

Sadly, trans fat is still present, among other unhealthy processed ingredients. Sugar is also the first ingredient. This is especially concerning since the product is aimed at kids.
