People respond that way to you not because you gave out the "specs" but because you gave out your opinion on how people should or should not treat those specs. In particular, you subtly implied that it is bad for people to eat this item because it has sugar and transfat in it and that people should not give it to kids.
When people put out specs on television or laptops AND give an opinion on it, they tend to get slammed the same way in response actually.
Oh and comparing fruit loops to brown rice crisps is like trying to say that people should drink water instead of beer. While yes it is an alternative, it is not really within the same ballpark of reasonability.
-Numerous Slickdeals before i started keeping track.
Since I Started keeping track:
Ultra V Series 400W Power Supply - Free
Ingredients[kelloggs.com]: Sugar, corn flour blend (whole grain yellow corn flour, degerminated yellow corn flour), wheat flour, whole grain oat flour, oat fiber, soluble corn fiber, contains 2% or less of partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (coconut, soybean and/or cottonseed), salt, red 40, natural flavor, blue 2, turmeric color, yellow 6, annatto color, blue 1, BHT for freshness.
Sadly, trans fat is still present, among other unhealthy processed ingredients. Sugar is also the first ingredient. This is especially concerning since the product is aimed at kids.
Your guys' responses are hilarious in regards to the above. Everyone got so caught up in calling this guy a food nazi (Which is true...) that you miss something entirely!
AS IF people DONT KNOW What fruit loops are?! IS that bubble that you are living in not transparent? No windows? LOL. Don't ever come into food threads posting nutritional information, because absolutely noone who is inside the thread cares. Everyone knows what fruitloops are, and everyone knows what nutritional value they yield... if any.
If you really want to save money, why not just get some disposable bowls, saran wrap, and a box of cereal and make them to go yourself?
Sure it may take a little longer, but you're getting almost no cereal at all when it's packaged like this.
I've only used S&S a few times - always cancelled after 1st shipment. I have two now (including this one) that I might keep longer... Do the prices in the future change, or are we locked in with this price?
No, prices are not locked.
Then I assume that there is not a way to check price at time of shipment to make the choice on accepting or cancelling; the safest way is to cancel after 1st shipment ?
