You don't have any friends to split the deal with? In that case, if you use the promo card first when paying for the monitor, the remaining balance on the regular gift card never expires. It's still a better deal unless you're never ever buying something from Dell ever again infinity.

I think this monitor can be found frequently for under $300. This is one of those cases where I realize I can get two 22" 16:10 monitors for the price of one of these which would provide far more real-estate and the productivity advantages of dual monitors.
