As for keyboards - I have a Das (my first), which I didn't end up liking due to the glossy nature of the keyboard - build quality is excellent though, and it is very dependable.

My next keyboard was the XArmor (aka iOne) - which I got because it was backlit - key quality was terrible; poorly painted, uneven, 'rubber' texture was inconsistent. I shelved it after using it for a total of two hours. I come back to it a year later and the spacebar stems snapped off from an hour of normal usage (I don't type very hard - sort of a hybrid 'touch' typist). I wasn't even angry - I expected it. I emailed iOne for a replacement. They wanted $10 for the key, and $5 shipping - I just walked away. Stories of their crappy quality are everywhere, and I've experienced it first hand.

I also have a Happy Hacking Pro 2 - awesome keyboard, but not worth the cost.

My current daily driver is the CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid - Red. Probably my favorite keyboard expect for the terrible logos (but that changed).

I'm torn between red switches and blue ones. I want a tenkeyless for my laptop. I currently use a das keyboard. Mostly going to be used for playing league of legends on the go. Should I stick with blues? Or would reds make that much of a difference?

I heard about CM reducing the branding and logos on their keycaps too. Is it safe to say if I were to purchase one now it'd be the newer batch? I just wanted to confirm.

I think you're pretty safe at this point. I believe Amazon has pretty much cycled through their old stock and shipping exclusively new unless CM provided them some older stock again.

You can also email the folks at cmstore, and request for a "brandless" model. Of course, they screwed mine up, but I'll live. That was about 1-2 months ago, so you have much better odds.

Yeah, stick with Cherry MX. It has the option of customizing keycaps - which is cool in some regards (just ordered the D3 Sanctuary keycap set from GH...for my CM).

Just got shipping email for my White X9 + Shirt and accessories!

Unfortunately, switches are really a 'preference' thing, and you must really decide for yourself after understanding the characteristic of each switch.

Personally, I find blue too loud (while others find it satisfying), but has the benefit of tactile feedback so that you know when the key has been registered without bottoming out.
