Not in the same league due to Sandforce Controller.
The Sandforce has only been bulletproof with the Intel Line who write Proprietary Firmware and will not share it with Sandforce. SanDisk uses Sandforce Firmware and is subject to all the bugs that come with it. More reliable than OCZ, but you are playing with fire using a non Intel Sandforce controlled SSD in a Critical Situation. Sandforce released 3 Firmware Version for the controller used in this drive in a one month period 5.03 5.04 & 5.05. Each new Version needed to fix a bug in the previous version. Sandforce needs to get their act together or buy the Firmware developed by Intel for their Controllers.
Intel is in reality the only reliable sandforce controlled SSD

Went ahead and made the purchase. Been looking for this for a few weeks. Was hoping for $150, but an $18 difference is not worth the risk to me. Was able to get on this and happy. Hopefully the order doesn't get cancelled.

Other options are B&H and newegg. These are the top three stores to have it on super sale in my prediction...

what is in the "laptop kit?" It's the same drive no?

So what would happen if one tried to RMA this drive in 1 years time? Would they replace it with an 840pro? Because that's the only equivalent drive?

In case anyone is still following this thread, i had checked on my order yesterday and it said back-ordered, but now today it's saying shipped, so it appears they're honoring orders. At the moment I think it's still out of stock, but you should be able to get it for this price once they restock.
