Portable heat pump / air conditioner reviews.
I have been looking into portable heat pumps -- Portable air conditioners with a heat function.
The specs of just one which I looked at noted a heating capacity of 9,000BTUs from just 1,050 watts. Similarly, 1050 watts of electric resistive heat over the same time period would generate just ~~3580 BTUs (via wolframalpha.com), so at least on paper these appear to be twice as efficient as the cadet wall heaters currently in my house.
Does anyone have any first hand experience with these things to say if they work as great as they sound?
an example of the products I'm talking about here::
